Who We Are - Paul Cohen and Troy Swanson have studied and practiced law in the state of Maryland for over two decades. They have been partners since 1994. Both attorneys have previous big firm experience and over twenty years legal experience in representing lenders.
What We Do – Cohen & Swanson, P.C. (“C&S”) primarily represents local, regional and national financial institutions in the state of Maryland in the area of creditors’ rights, bankruptcy law, commercial financing, foreclosure, loan workouts, commercial and consumer collection, title disputes, lender liability, interest rate swap litigation, adverse possession, the Uniform Commercial Code and other areas of law. C&S also represents small to mid-size corporations in other areas of commercial litigation and corporate disputes.
Where and When – C&S has Maryland offices located in Harford County and Baltimore County. C&S represents clients throughout the state of Maryland. All clients have access to our cell phones and many have access to our home numbers.
How - C&S works hard and smart in representing their clients applying “out of the box” thinking in addressing their clients needs. C&S invests heavily in computer technology and online computer research which accounts for most of their non-personnel budget. C&S uses one of Westlaw’s premium legal research products which includes, but is not limited to: (1) federal and state reporters; (2) the federal bankruptcy reporter; (3) all federal and state statutes; and (4) most law review articles. While many law firms charge their clients for computer legal research, C&S does not charge their clients for this service. This technology has also allowed C&S to operate more efficiently resulting in reduced fees without sacrificing the quality of work.
